Mrs. Sara Ingrassia was a former Rockford teacher who instilled a love of reading and writing in students from elementary grades to the college level. She was a vital member of the community, assuming leadership roles in the Rockford Education Association, the Rockford Area Arts Council and on the Rockford School Board. Former school board members and community leaders initiated the dictionary project as a fitting memorial to Sara Ingrassia, a much loved and respected colleague.
