volunteering at Sorting Day 2009
VOLUNTEER
You can help label and sort the dictionaries a couple of weeks before distribution
day. Sorting headquarters is the Rockford Board of Education warehouse at 2000
Christina Street. Snacks and drinks are provided for all the volunteers. If

The committee would like to recognize the groups that assisted in "Sorting
Day 2009". Fifty volunteers labeled and then repackaged over 2,000 dictionaries
in classroom sets. Boxes for the classrooms were labeled with the name of the
teacher and then sorted by schools.

The Sara Ingrassia - Jackie Confer Dictionary Fund continually solicts fund
to purchase dictionaries for next year’s third graders. As a donor, your
name will appear in individual dictionaries.
You can donate $1200 to provide dictionaries for all the third grade students
at a single school. Or you can donate $500 to sponsor dictionaries for a whole
class. And just $22 covers the cost of one dictionary for one student.
The Sara Ingrassia - Jackie Confer Dictionary Fund is a non-profit organization.
All donations go directly towards purchasing dictionaries for all the Rockford
public school third grade students.
Please click on the link below, fill in the information and mail it in with
your donation to the address listed below. You can contribute all year, but
please send your contribution by August 31 so that your name will appear in
the dictionaries you sponsored.
